Privacy Policy
Novaeve Technology Co., Limited ("we" or "Company") is responsible for personal information handled through Fari. This Policy covers fari.ai, correspondence and Fari Services when offered. Account, conversation, voice, payment and connected-service descriptions apply only to features you actually use; this promotional website has no live chat, account registration or checkout. Privacy enquiries: Feedback@fari.ai.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide can include your email address and correspondence. Where relevant features are available, it can also include account and profile details, chosen preferences, conversation text or voice, uploaded content, third-party sign-in information and transaction records. Payment providers handle payment credentials under their own notices. Share another person’s information only with the necessary authority.
1.2 Hosting and security systems process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, language, requested pages and access times. With permission, website analytics processes page addresses, referrers, cookie identifiers and interactions. The prerecorded introduction does not activate a microphone or camera.
1.3 Cookies and similar storage remember your choices and, with permission, measure site usage. This website uses Google Analytics 4 only after consent; Google can receive browser, device, network and usage information, but this integration does not send email drafts or private message text. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. The consent choice and configured analytics cookies expire after 180 days. Refusal does not prevent reading the website.
2. The Fari app
This section explains how the Fari mobile app handles your information. The app requires an account. We process your sign-in identifier and email address from Sign in with Apple or another sign-in option you choose, and the display name and birthday you enter.
To provide Fari, we store the messages, photos, and journal entries you share, transcripts of your voice calls, your reminders, and the memories Fari keeps so later conversations can continue. We do not store the audio of your calls. You can review, edit, or remove memories in the app.
If you allow it, the app uses your approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) and city for the weather and local news in your Day Ahead card, and reads today’s calendar events without changing them. This information is deleted within 12 hours after your local day ends. We also process purchase records (payments are handled by Apple or Google, and we never receive card details), a push notification token, in-app usage events (kept for up to 180 days), and error reports (kept for up to 90 days).
Before you first talk with Fari, the app asks for your consent to send your messages, voice, photos, journal content, and the profile details used to personalise replies to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Bailian), which generates Fari’s replies, voice, and journal entries. For weather, our servers send only rounded coordinates to MET Norway, with no account identifier. Authorised Fari staff may review conversations to provide support and keep the service safe, and every access is logged. We do not sell your information, use your conversations for advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
You can delete your account in the app under Settings → More settings → Delete account. You can restore it within 7 days; after 30 days the account and its content are permanently deleted, except for records we must keep by law.
3. Purposes and grounds for processing
We use information to provide and administer the Services, answer enquiries, handle requested invitations, support features you choose and protect against fraud or misuse. Conversation and preference data, when supplied to an available companion feature, support generating and personalising responses. Technical and usage information support security, troubleshooting and service improvement.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performance of a contract or steps you request before one, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Services, legal obligations, or consent where required. Optional analytics and marketing follow the relevant consent requirements. We do not use private conversations for advertising. Information used for advertising, if such a feature is offered, is limited to permitted account, device and usage information rather than private conversation content.
4. Disclosure of information
Information may be processed by providers needed for hosting, storage, email, security, support, analytics and, for enabled AI features, model processing. Cloudflare provides this website’s hosting and delivery infrastructure; Google provides its consent-based analytics. Providers receive information relevant to their function.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, authorities where legally required, parties involved in protecting rights or safety, or parties to a lawful business transfer. Private conversations are not disclosed to advertising partners for marketing. Third-party links and connected services have their own privacy practices.
5. Information security
Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are used according to the information and processing involved, including protected connections and access controls. No transmission, mailbox or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your credentials and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Security incidents are handled and notified as required by applicable law.
6. Storage and international processing
Hosting, email, analytics and other enabled service providers may process information outside your country. Locations depend on the actual providers and services used, rather than a promise that all information stays in one country. Where required, transfers must use an applicable legal mechanism and safeguards. Ask Feedback@fari.ai about locations and safeguards relevant to your information.
7. Retention
Information is kept for the purposes for which it is processed and for applicable legal, security and dispute requirements. Relevant factors include the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purpose, account or enquiry status and legal duties. When no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised subject to lawful exceptions and backup cycles. Browser language preferences remain until cleared; this website’s consent choice expires after 180 days. Withdrawal does not itself erase information already lawfully collected.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or an objection to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. You may stop optional marketing and request information about disclosures. Contact Feedback@fari.ai; proportionate verification or authority for a representative may be required. Requests may have lawful exceptions, including others’ rights and necessary legal records.
Use Cookie settings to refuse or withdraw optional analytics, and browser controls to remove stored choices. Withdrawal stops further analytics from this integration and clears its accessible cookies, not historical data already received by Google. Where a recognised Global Privacy Control signal is present, this website does not enable optional analytics. You may complain to the competent regulator, including the relevant EEA or UK authority where applicable. Exercising rights must not result in unlawful discrimination.
9. Minors
Fari’s minimum service age is 14, subject to the higher eligibility thresholds in the Terms and applicable law. We do not knowingly seek personal information from people below the applicable minimum. A parent or guardian who believes such information has been provided should contact Feedback@fari.ai so it can be investigated and deleted where appropriate. An email request does not override service-age restrictions.
10. Changes to this Policy
We publish the current Policy and update date on this page. Material changes receive the notice required by applicable law. Where a new purpose or feature requires additional information or consent, that must be provided or obtained before the relevant processing begins.
11. California privacy rights
Where California privacy law applies, relevant information categories may include identifiers and contact information, transaction records, internet or device activity, approximate location from network data, preferences and content you choose to provide. Their sources, purposes and recipients are described above; categories tied to unavailable features are not collected through this website.
Eligible residents may request to know, access, correct or delete information, use an authorised agent and exercise applicable opt-out or sensitive-information rights without unlawful discrimination. The current website does not enable the sale of personal information or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. Its optional analytics remains consent-based, and Global Privacy Control is respected as described above. Send requests, including applicable direct-marketing disclosure requests, to Feedback@fari.ai.
12. Singapore privacy rights
Where Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act applies, you may request access or correction and withdraw consent by contacting Feedback@fari.ai. We will explain reasonably foreseeable consequences if withdrawal prevents a requested service. Where law permits a reasonable access fee, it will be explained before proceeding; correction requests are not charged. Protection, retention and overseas transfers remain subject to applicable requirements. This section does not state that all Fari data is stored in Singapore.
13. Contact us
For privacy questions, rights requests, complaints or notification preferences, contact Novaeve Technology Co., Limited at Feedback@fari.ai. Explain the request and provide only the information needed to identify and handle it. The separate early-access address, fari@fari.ai, remains available for invitation requests.
14. Philippines privacy rights
Where the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012 applies, personal and sensitive personal information is handled under its requirements. Sensitive information may include health, age, marital status, religious or political affiliation, education, genetic or sexual information, government identifiers and legal-proceeding records. Processing requires the consent or other ground applicable to that information; merely browsing this website does not authorise every sensitive use.
You may request information, access, correction or deletion, object where applicable, withdraw consent and raise a complaint through Feedback@fari.ai or the competent privacy authority. Material changes and processing notices must be provided as required. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive records in an ordinary enquiry.
